An independent film, The Tinderbox has been made through the generosity of Crowd-funders and a stalwart team of talented and multi-award-winning professionals who believed in the film’s message. 

DIRECTOR PRODUCER

A first-time director, Gillian Mosely began producing films in 1997, creating, developing, producing and exec producing a wide range of high end documentaries for Arte, BBC, Channel 4, Discovery, History, ITV, NatGeo, PBS and ZDF among others. In 2017 Gillian produced her first Feature Documentary: Manolo: the Boy Who Made Shoes for Lizards (Netflix). TV films include “Ancient Egypt: Life and Death in the Valley of the Kings,” BBC2, and BAFTA, Royal Television Society and AIB award-winning “Mummifying Alan,” Channel 4, Discovery, NGCI.

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Richard Blanshard has shot numerous films including the Peabody, RTS, and Emmy-award-winning Night Will Fall, as well as a number of films by Werner Herzog including La Boheme, Meeting Gorbachev and his latest film, Fireball Visitors From Darker Worlds for Apple TV which premiered at the 2020 Toronto Film Festival. Richard is also an award-winning Producer Director and put together the Films Without Borders teaching program mentoring challenged teenagers around the world, from Australia, Israel, Palestine, to Kenya, Rwanda and South Africa.

Andy R. Worboys is a BAFTA/multi award-winning editor whose films have premiered at major festivals around the world from Sundance and Telluride to Sheffield. These include Untouchable, Serengeti Rules, Tell Me Who I Am and Hillsborough to name a few.

EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS

Richard Melman is an Emmy winning EP and  Managing Director of Spring Films whose films include multi-award-winners – the Act of Killing (Winner of BAFTA for Best Feature Doc,) The Look of Silence (Academy Award nominee for Best Feature Doc,) Night Will Fall (Emmy, RTS & Peabody winner,) and Werner Herzog’s Into the Inferno and Meeting Gorbachev. Prior to joining Spring, he was Channel Director for the History Channel in the UK and EMEA and was responsible for commissioning hundreds of hours of programming, winning Digital Channel of the year.

Andre Singer was Editor of Granada’s Disappearing World series during the 1980’s and then ran the BBC Independent Documentary Unit in the 1990’s founding award-winning strand Fine Cut (now Storyville). CEO of Spring Films, André produced or executive produced fourteen films with Werner Herzog. He also directed ‘Night Will Fall’ Winner – Best History Film – Emmy, Royal Television and Peabody 2016 and nominated for five Emmys.
